Mr. Haaaon j. Rashid

As-Salaam-Alaikum

Dear Sir,

May this e-mail and inquiry find you in the best of health, spirit, and faith. I am a graduate of Springfield College Master Degree Human Service Organizational Management Leadership Program. Currently, I’m applying for admission to the Ph.D Program at the School of Community Economic Development (SCED), at Southern New Hampshire University, please recite a DUA(s) for my successful enrollment there?. I would like to bring into existence an Islamic Historical Society and Research Center. My reason for contacting you is in hope of gaining your assistance, to locate sources of support for a Non Profit Organization that I wish to create.

I appeal to the community of Muslims to help me build a Non Profit Northeastern Islamic Historical Society and Research Center , to sacrifice to create a program for the preservation of Islamic history in the northeast region of the United State, as Muslims continue to take up citizenship and residency in this area. I am asking you to help me build this Islamic Historical Society so that the history of us Muslims here in the northeast can be adequately collected, organized ,maintained, studied, researched, exhibited, presented, and preserved. It is hoped that the Islamic community of Muslims will support this effort to create such a historical program, that will preserve the knowledge of the good and bad things of life, Muslims have experienced here in the northeast, both individually as members of and collectively as a struggling community. The collection and preservation of our Islamic history here in the Northeast, into one central depository for display and presentation has long been neglected, to the extent that our Muslims and our Islamic leadership here in the Northeast have forgotten the basic importance of historical preservation. The history of other communities of the book, here in the northeast has been more than adequately preserved. The history of a peoples community is the richest treasure that they can leave towards the future inheritance of their offsprings. Up until now the Islamic peoples of the Northeastern United States has been stagnant in this phase of their community building and development. Up until now the Islamic community here, have failed to even address the issue of it’s historical preservation here in the northeast collectively. Now is the time to take the task of preservation of our Islamic history here in the northeast to new heights.

My reason for contacting you is in hope of gaining your assistance, to locate sources of support this Non Profit Organization that I wish to create. I need your help in directing me towards sources, of Islamic/ support for my proposed endeavor. What information can you share with me, Inshallah, that will help me to apply my vision for the creation of the Northeastern Islamic Historical Society and Research Center .

1.Starting a Islamic Historical Society of the Northeast and Research Center will involve:

• Obtaining incorporation as a nonprofit 501 © (3) organization from the IRS
• Creating a Strategic Fund – raising Plan
• Writing of a Statement of Purpose
• Writing a Statement of Program Activities
• Determining Structural Issues for the Board of Directors
• Creating a 3 – year Budget
• Reviewing of all Necessary Operational Responsibilities of a Non-profit
2. The above documents when completed to satisfaction will be used to complete this organization. The organization will also need the following:
• Articles of Incorporation
• Bylaws
• Conflict of Interest Policy (Strongly Recommended for tax exempt status)
• Minutes of the Board of Director’s First Organizational Meeting
• IRS Form 1023 Exemption Application
• State Exemption Application and/ or Registration
• Corporate Record Book
• EIN from IRS and Opening a Bank Account
• Applying for tax exempt status

Due to the complexity of initiating an organization such as this in the northeast, I would estimate that a firm price for start – up services would be approximately $5,000, another $1,000 for filing fee’s in each state of the northeast. This organization would focus itself on the history of members of the Northeastern American Islamic Community and all of the diversity related to it. For to long has the history of Muslims, that have come to reside, work, play, worship in the northeastern sector of the United States, and Eastern Canada been neglected. Anyway, that you can help me to network with the sources of support that I would require to make my vision a reality, would be more than appreciated. Allah has bless me with the time and energy to initiate this effort of organizing this segment of Islamic history, for preservation, study, research, and other sensitive educational reasons.

Jaan J. – The Home of Halal Non-Silk Ties

AsSalaamu Alaikum,

Good day. My name is Salim Sayyid and I am a marketing executive with Jaan J. – The Home of Halal Non-Silk Vegan Ties www.jaanj.com. We are the first necktie company in the world to offer this necessary and halal alternative.

I write to you today in kind request for a banner and/or link of our company on your website, organization’s forums/blogs, associated organizations’ websites, etc. in sha Allah. A simple forward of this email to other Muslim professionals would be greatly appreciated as well.

With nearly all men’s neckties made from silk, and silk being prohibited for Muslim men to wear, we started Jaan J. in order to provide a necessary but high quality service for Muslims, Vegans, and other conscious-minded people in sha Allah. Our company mark which looks like an arrowhead is actually our trademarked rendition of the Sandal of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

If you have never seen a picture of the Sandal of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), please follow these simple steps:
• Go to www.google.com
• Search “Prophet Muhammad’s Sandal.”
• When you arrive on the page with all the website results, click on the link “Images” on top of the colorful “Google” logo
• You will be displayed several pictures of the Sandal on a light green background.
• Enjoy.

As you can see on our website www.jaanj.com, we have embroidered our rendition of this noble mark on the backside of 1 line of our ties, and we have also made lapel pins, cufflinks, and hijab pins of our company trademark which serve as nice gifts ma sha Allah.

If you do not place banners or links on your website, forums, etc., could you kindly refer us to a Muslim organization that does in sha Allah?

Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything you need from our end.

May Allah bless you for your time and kind consideration…amin.

AsSalaamu Alaikum,
Salim Sayyid
